Local Delivery Driver NWA

Delivery Driver need for NWA wholesale building supplier for weekly box truck delivery routes to regional lumber yards (no weekends). Requirements include a valid Arkansas class D driver's license with current DOT medical card and experience loading and delivering building products. Previous box truck driving and basic mechanical knowledge a plus. Business in located in Springdale and salary is competetive.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with manual transmissions to deliver products across designated routes in the NWA region.
• Navigate route driving efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations to meet delivery schedules.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction upon delivery.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining a clean work environment when not on the road.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred.
• Proven delivery driver experience or similar roles involving route driving and customer interaction.
• Physical capability to lift heavy items regularly and perform moving tasks safely.
• Experience working in warehouses or logistics environments is desirable.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and load

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
