Local Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary

Temporary NIGHT SHIFT position with potential to move to full time position once night shift ends.

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Local Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport construction debris, materials, and freight within local job sites and designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving, load & unload procedures, and route management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects and support efficient waste removal and material delivery operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel consumption, and service records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
• Assist with the loading and securing of freight on flatbed or refrigerated trailers as required for specific jobs.

Experience

• Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty commercial vehicles in a delivery or construction environment.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with manual transmission proficiency.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Pay: $24.65 - $29.69 per hour
