Local Lowboy Driver

Join Our Team of Heavy Haul Drivers! RPM Equipment is currently seeking an experienced local lowboy driver to join our team. As a low-boy driver, you will be responsible for transporting oversized loads and heavy equipment to various destinations safely and efficiently.

Position: Local lowboy driver

Pay range: $30-$35

Position: Full Time

Location: Lakeland, FL

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate and drive heavy haul trucks to transport oversized loads, machinery, and equipment.

· Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.

· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.

· Secure cargo properly using chains, binders, straps, and other equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

· Plan routes and determine the best course of action, considering factors such as road conditions, weather, and traffic.

· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customer, and other team members.

· Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and delivery times.

Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years of heavy haul experience

· Valid CDL Class A with clean driving record

· Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols

· TWIC card

· Valid passport

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills

· Experienced with a RGN / Lowboy Multi axles 8 axle RGN up to 13 axle beams

· Occasional over nights as needed, 2x week.
