Job Summary
LocalTel, a Ziply Fiber Company, is seeking a Local Marketing Manager to lead all local marketing, community engagement, and brand efforts across North Central Washington.
This role is responsible for building Local Tel’s presence, driving customer growth, and strengthening community relationships. The Local Marketing Manager will oversee one Marketing Representative and serve as the primary liaison with Ziply Fiber’s centralized marketing team, ensuring alignment on messaging, pricing, and campaign execution.
While digital marketing and website management are handled by Ziply Fiber, this role leads local execution and content development.
This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, execution, and creativity, with the ability to develop locally relevant marketing initiatives that resonate with the communities we serve, and contributes directly to market performance, customer growth, and brand strength.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Brand & Community Marketing
- Build brand awareness and trust through strong local presence and storytelling
- Manage sponsorships, local advertising, and community initiatives
- Ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all local channels
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, chambers, and organizations
Demand Marketing & Content
- Execute local content, social media, and email initiatives
- Educate customers on fiber services and LocalTel offerings
- Partner with Ziply teams to align local efforts with broader campaigns
Lead Generation & Sales Support
- Support promotional campaigns and local market launches
- Generate leads through events, partnerships, and grassroots efforts
- Partner with sales teams to drive customer acquisition and penetration
Product & Pricing Alignment
- Ensure accurate and consistent communication of products and pricing
- Support positioning, packaging, and sales enablement materials
- Maintain clear, simple, customer-focused messaging
Customer Marketing
- Support customer communications and engagement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve retention and customer experience
Partnerships & Community Integration
- Develop and manage partnerships, referral opportunities, and co-branded initiatives
- Represent LocalTel as an active, engaged community partner
Events & Market Activation
- Plan and execute community events, sponsorships, and local activations
- Coordinate grand openings, ribbon cuttings, and milestone events
- Manage event logistics, branding, and local PR
Strategy, Budgeting & Collaboration
- Develop and execute local marketing plans aligned with Ziply Fiber
- Provide local insights, content, and updates (including pricing and messaging) to centralized teams
- Manage local marketing budget, including planning, tracking, and allocation of resources
- Evaluate ROI of marketing activities and adjust investments to maximize impact
- Identify and prioritize high-impact, ROI-driven opportunities within the market
- Contribute to overall market performance by aligning marketing efforts with growth, penetration, and customer acquisition goals
Team Leadership
- Manage and support one Marketing Representative
- Provide direction, prioritization, and performance support
Other Duties
- Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, community engagement, or related field
- Experience in event planning, partnerships, and local marketing initiatives
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
