Job Title: Local Purchase cum Factory Store

Salary Range: ₹18,000 – ₹26,000 per month

Job Purpose

To handle day-to-day local purchases required for smooth factory operations by sourcing materials locally at the best price, quality, and delivery time, while ensuring proper documentation and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop local vendors for raw materials, consumables, spares, tools, and maintenance items.
• Handle emergency and routine local purchases for production, maintenance, and admin departments.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Prepare and process Purchase Requests (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and follow up for timely delivery.
• Coordinate with stores for material receipt, inspection, and GRN preparation.
• Ensure proper documentation such as bills, delivery challans, GST invoices, and payment support papers.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor master, and rate comparisons.
• Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and budget limits.
• Coordinate with accounts for vendor payments and reconciliation.
• Handle petty cash purchases wherever applicable.
• Monitor material quality and resolve vendor-related issues or returns.
• Support audits by providing required purchase documents.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of local market and suppliers
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of GST, invoicing, and purchase documentation
• Good coordination and follow-up ability
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP (if applicable)

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate / Diploma (preferred)
• 3–6 years of experience in local purchase in a factory or manufacturing environment
