Local Roll-Off Driver

Job Summary

Your expertise in driving and heavy lifting will ensure safe, timely pickups and deliveries across your local service area. Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to load and unload waste containers.
• Drive heavy-duty vehicles with manual & automatic transmissions across designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload waste containers using mechanical knowledge of truck equipment and lifting techniques.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies.
• Manage the secure placement of containers at customer sites and retrieve them efficiently for transport.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of various truck types including roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
• Proven experience operating commercial vehicles with manual transmissions in a safe manner.
• Excellent driving skills with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) suitable for heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during loading and unloading processes.
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures for different types of waste containers.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations.

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
