Local SEO Citation Builder

Job Description

We are looking for a Local SEO Citation Builder to support ongoing local SEO projects by building, cleaning, and maintaining accurate business citations across relevant directories and platforms. This role is ideal for someone who understands NAP consistency, local search signals, and citation quality standards.

You will work on a project basis, following clear instructions and reporting progress regularly. Accuracy, attention to detail, and familiarity with local SEO workflows are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Citation Research & Planning

• Identify relevant local, niche, and industry-specific citation sources.
• Analyze existing citations to find inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing listings.
• Follow location-specific and country-specific citation strategies when required.

Citation Building & Optimization

• Create new business listings with 100% accurate NAP (Name, Address, Phone) details.
• Optimize listings with business descriptions, categories, images, URLs, and operating hours.
• Ensure consistency across all platforms to strengthen local ranking signals.

Cleanup & Maintenance

• Correct incorrect or outdated citations.
• Identify and suppress duplicate or spam listings where applicable.
• Maintain a clean and organized citation profile for each business location.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain a shared tracker (Google Sheets or similar) with:
• Live URLs
• Login details (where required)
• Status updates
• Submit project completion reports with clear notes on work done.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Local SEO fundamentals and citation best practices.
• Experience with NAP consistency, business categories, and local ranking factors.
• Familiarity with citation tools and platforms (e.g., BrightLocal, Whitespark, manual submissions).
• Ability to follow SOPs and meet deadlines independently.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience

• 6 months to 2 years of hands-on experience with local SEO or citation building.
• Experience working with multiple business locations is a plus.
• Prior agency or freelance experience preferred but not mandatory.

Payment Structure

• This is a project-based remote role.
• Please quote your hourly rate when applying.
• Our benchmark rate is PKR 300/hour, depending on experience and work quality
