Local Truck Driver Class A

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting wood products safely and efficiently within designated routes from lumber yards and paper mills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers.
• Keep a log of the daily loads and routes.
• Perform route driving to deliver freight to designated locations while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.

Experience

• Must have a valid Class A CDL License
• Proven experience in commercial driving with at least 5 years of experience
• Must be able to pass a DOT drug screen
• Clean driving record preferred
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safe loading/unloading practices.
• Ability to maintain and provide a high level of professionalism and customer service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $1,000.00 per week
