Duties
- Safely operate end dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles such as dump trucks and roll-off trucks on local routes.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity.
- Drive route-specific deliveries, adhering to schedules while maintaining safety and compliance with traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers as required for different types of freight.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or tanker trucks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual techniques when necessary.
- Strong knowledge of route driving practices within local areas; excellent navigation skills required.

Pay: $250.00 - $450.00 per day
