Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Emergency Medicine

As a Locum MD in Emergency Medicine, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in emergency situations. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and treating patients, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for those in critical need.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in critical conditions
• Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of medical emergencies
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
• Respond promptly to emergency situations
• Provide guidance and support to junior medical staff as needed

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Current medical license to practice in the relevant state
• Experience in Emergency Medicine (preferably in a locum or contract role)
• Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus

Flexible Schedule: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, or 24-hour shifts available

No call requirement

Level IV Trauma

5 ER beds

Annual Volume: 5,500 patients

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
