Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Ob/Gyn

This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care to our patients in a supportive medical practice environment.

As a Locum MD in Ob/Gyn, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive women's health services, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, and gynecological procedures. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, and you will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients
• Conduct routine examinations, screenings, and diagnostic tests
• Manage prenatal and postnatal care, including labor and delivery
• Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures as necessary
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Educate patients about reproductive health and wellness
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Current medical license to practice in the state of practice
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of women's health issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage

Setting: Inpatient

Daily Volume: 1-3 inpatients, 1-3 deliveries, 2-4 NST/observations

Daily rounding required

Must be comfortable with vaginal deliveries and c-sections

Will provide ED consultations as needed

No circumcisions required

Support Staff: APP in clinic

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
