Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology

Description

As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images to assist in patient care. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate assessments and timely patient management. This position allows for a flexible work schedule while contributing to the improvement of patient outcomes in the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
• Interpret medical images and provide accurate reports
• Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss findings and treatment options
• Maintain a high level of patient care and safety
• Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and procedures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
• Provide mentorship and training to junior staff as needed

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Radiology
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Previous locum tenens experience is a plus
• Level I Trauma

Flexible Schedule: Day, night, swing, and weekend shifts available

Beeper call coverage required

Total Annual Volume: 364,000 mixed reads

Skillsets: DX, IR, or mammo

EMR: Epic

PACS/RIS: Radiant and Cupid

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
