We are currently seeking a Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalist . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to hospitals in Dansville. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring quality patient care and maintaining the smooth operation of healthcare facilities. As a Locum Hospitalist, you will be involved in a variety of medical cases and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the community's health.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients.
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Monitor and manage patient progress and medical records.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members.
• Stay updated on medical best practices and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Valid medical license in the state of practice.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge in Internal Medicine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and be part of a collaborative healthcare team.
• Flexibility to adapt to different hospital settings and patient populations.

Schedule: 7a-7p shifts

No call shifts

Average Daily Census: 25-30 patients

Number of Beds: 34 med/surg beds, 8 ICU beds

Support Staff: MD, APP & subspecialties

ED Volume: 16k annually

Will respond to codes

EMR: Epic

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
