Locum Tenens Physician MD (Medical Doctor) Cardiology

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with the ability to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient interactions and a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services. The Physician will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management and care.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients.
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for a variety of medical conditions.
  • Manage patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Perform medical procedures as required, including but not limited to suturing, airway management, and IV infusion.
  • Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with specialists in areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and more for comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in clinical research and trials to advance medical knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
  • Engage in discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care.

Skills

  • Proficient in EHR systems and EMR systems for efficient patient management.
  • Experience in critical care, trauma medicine, or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques, including CT scans and mammography.
  • Familiarity with various specialties such as psychiatry, dermatology, oncology, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and more.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge.
  • Ability to perform procedures such as cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology techniques, and wound care management.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through continued education in relevant medical fields. Schedule: Friday 5p-Monday 7a

Will cover one facility in Washington and one facility in Oregon

Cases: Interventional cardiology/STEMI

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $250.00 - $375.00 per hour
