Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of various medical disciplines and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves diagnosing and treating patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring adherence to best practices in medical care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and patient management.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, airway management, and IV infusion as required.
  • Collaborate with specialists in areas including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and more for comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide critical care in inpatient settings, including ICU and PACU environments.
  • Engage in clinical research and trials to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on health coaching, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.
  • Experience with EHR systems; familiarity with Epic is preferred.
  • Knowledge of various specialties such as psychiatry, maternal-fetal medicine, dermatology, oncology, and more is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in patient service, triage, and acute pain management are essential.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Level II Trauma

Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a-7a

Daily Census: ~3 admissions per provider

Duties: ED coverage for neurosurgery and neurosurgery-trauma patients, trauma rounds, inpatient consults, and follow-ups

Required Procedures: Surgical repair for head trauma, skull defects, and cervical/thoracic/lumbar spine management, peripheral nerve injuries, and diagnostic imaging interpretation

APP supervision required

EMR: Cerner Care B

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Paid travel & expenses

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $100.00 - $250.00 per hour
