The Lodging Supervisor is responsible for daily operations and overseeing all Front Desk and Guest Service functions. Responsibilities include effectively handling guest questions, problems, concerns, and needs relating to any activity. The Lodging Supervisor is responsible for guiding, helping, and assisting both internal and external guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Flexibility with scheduling for weekends and holidays
Assist the Manager on Duty as needed
Understanding of night audit functions
Answer and respond to guests calls and individual needs
Check-ins and check-outs including proper welcome packets and assigning the right room
All front desk duties, including answering phones and assisting guests with request
Prepare group resumes and all other information that is needed
Review daily reports and follow through with Front Desk Agents to have all information correct
Continual training for all Front Desk Agents
Review each guest profile and reservation before they arrive to assure it is correct
Create and maintain the Front Desk as the center of all communication
Comprehend all guest charges and support the Front Desk Agent when there is a billing dispute
Understand the point of sale operations for the gift shop and incidental charges
Follow all procedures and make sure all agents do as well
Understand and follow Lodging Financials relating to Schedule, Declining Budget, Invoices, POs
Assist all other departments to meet the guests needs
Assign daily and weekly tasks to the Guest Services team and work with Guest Services Supervisor to facilitate daily operations
Assist with departures and arrivals when needed
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent
College degree preferred
1-2 years of Hospitality or customer service experience
Computer skills in Window Applications
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
Job requires to be on feet most or all of shift
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to safely drive a company vehicle or golf cart and must have a valid drivers license
General desk / front desk guest reception area
Must be able to work in all weather conditions
