- Coordinate with freight forwarders to request and gather shipping quotations for items coming from imported suppliers.
- Communicate with forwarders via email and phone to confirm booking details, pickup schedules, shipping modes, and requirements.
- Compare freight quotes and provide recommendations based on cost, timing, and shipment needs.
- Follow up with forwarders for shipment updates, tracking numbers, and estimated arrival dates.
- Communicate with international suppliers regarding shipping instructions and required documents (invoice, packing list, etc.).
- Review and organize all shipping documents to ensure accuracy and customs compliance.
- Update shipment logs, records, and inventory systems with accurate information.
- Coordinate with the operations team to schedule and prepare items for delivery to customers.
- Ensure delivery instructions are clearly communicated to drivers or couriers and confirm completion of deliveries.
- Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams to prepare for incoming shipments.
- Monitor inbound shipments and assist in resolving any delays or logistic issues.
- Respond to emails and phone calls related to logistics inquiries.
- Perform general logistics and administrative support tasks as needed.
- Can work with minimal supervision.
- Can work under pressure.
