Logistic Coordinator

● Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing trailers through the scale house to prevent congestion.

● Ensures mule drivers are completing the inspections of trucks before they start their day.

● Able to achieve operational effectiveness in assigned areas by coordinating the dock movements of trailers, roll off, flat beds, and containers with the mule drivers into our docks.

● Follows through with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that all internal and external maintenance and repair activities are completed as required as to minimize downtime for the mule drivers

● Maintains good communication with all operations employees to ensure smooth/efficient operations and customer service.

● Execute mule drivers schedules based on the daily forecast provided by the Logistic Supervisor

● Involvement in on-going and continuous operational improvement projects as well as makes recommendations for opportunistic situations.

● Perform physical trailer inventories twice daily(morning and afternoon)

Equipment

● Ensure the reporting of any safety and/or operational issues to the Maintenance Supervisor in order to meet compliance on all equipment.

● Receives all daily checklists for equipment, which may include but are not limited to vehicles and trucks and ensures delivery to appropriate clerks.

● Ensures all damages to all WSR property to include but not limited to vehicles, trucks, yards, etc. are report within the same day of occurrence for immediate action and follow-up.

Other Misc. Responsibilities

● Serve as a scale house back up when needed.

● All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Demands
Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, climbs stairs, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
this is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend work is also necessary on a need basis.
