Position Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily last mile trucking activities, including trailer allocation, dispatching, and follow up with carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and regional partners. This role ensures timely pick-ups, accurate trailer placement, and seamless communication between warehouse operations, carriers, and internal logistics teams. The coordinator supports Last - Mile scheduling while maintaining service quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch daily last mile trucking, including FedEx, UPS, and regional carriers, ensuring timely trailer arrivals, swaps, and departures.
- Monitor warehouse outbound volume and adjust trailer allocation based on real time operational needs.
- Communicate daily with warehouse leadership and carrier pick up stations regarding trailer requirements, delays, exceptions, and load readiness.
- Schedule, organize, and conduct follow‑ups with designated warehouses to verify sufficient trailer allocation and shipment preparation to support timely last‑mile pick‑up and delivery performance.
- Track and update all trucking activities, trailer statuses, and carrier communications in internal systems and shared logs.
- Follow up with carriers on missed pick-ups, reschedules, detention issues, and service failures.
- Coordinate with internal teams on PO status, outbound priorities, and customer delivery requirements.
- Support invoice reconciliation by comparing carrier charges with quotes and actual movements.
- Conduct root cause analysis on delivery delays or issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve overall service levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, brokers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Escalate service issues, delays, or capacity shortages to the Logistics Manager with recommended solutions.
- Ensure all trucking activities comply with company SOPs, safety standards, and client requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, warehouse transportation, or last mile operations (3PL preferred).
- Strong understanding of last mile carrier processes.
- Ability to manage high volume communication and make real time operational decisions.
- Proficiency in WMS, TMS, Excel, and carrier portals (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
- Excellent communication, follow up, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with shifting priorities.
- Bilingual Communication Skills: Fluent in both Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
