Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management for construction project materials and equipment
- Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, freight forwarders, and customs authorities
- Oversee import/export documentation, customs clearance procedures, and compliance with UAE regulations
- Coordinate with procurement, construction, and project management teams to align logistics activities with project schedules
- Monitor and control logistics budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize supply chain efficiency
- Manage fleet operations including vehicles, heavy equipment transportation, and maintenance scheduling
- Supervise logistics team members and provide guidance on daily operations
- Implement and maintain logistics management systems and tracking tools
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all logistics activities
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and delivery schedules
- Handle emergency logistics requirements and resolve operational issues promptly
Job Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certifications (CILT, CSCP, or equivalent) are advantageous
Experience:
- Minimum 10 -13 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience managing large-scale project logistics in the UAE or Middle East region
- Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations, import/export procedures, and local logistics infrastructure
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities with attention to detail
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Outstanding communication skills in English (Chinese language skills are a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Valid UAE driving license preferred
