About the Role

The Logistics Analyst plays a critical role in supporting International Grains & Cereal within a food manufacturing environment by coordinating, analyzing and optimizing the supply chain to identify and recommend improvements in efficiency, cost, and delivery. The Logistics Analysts coordinates export cargo logistics at the Plant, ensures timely shipment of documentation to customers and supervise the operation of the cross-docking platform in ports, maintains and interprets data on logistics elements, prepares reports, and work to streamline processes transportation, procurement, and inventory management. The role involves data analysis, communication, and coordination with various teams and vendors to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods across various departments

Skills:

Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex data and use it to make informed decisions.

Technical skills: Proficiency in data analysis software, such as Microsoft Excel, and other logistics-specific software. Communication skills: Strong communication to liaise with suppliers, vendors, and management. Problem-solving: Ability to think critically and find innovative solutions to challenges. Business acumen: Understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains professional decorum and effective working relationships with IGC departments, assigned vendors, etc.
• Drafts, edits various correspondence, forms, standard operating policies, communications to customers, vendors, employees, etc. as requested. May provide basic narrative, statistical and/or inventory reporting.
• Maintains files and records consistent with expectations and prevailing legal and or prevailing logistics/distribution regulations and laws.
• Ensures compliance and proper execution of customs figures: Nationalization management, export management.
• Supervises the provision of services by the Customs Agent, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the contract between the parties, monitoring the management indicators and conducting periodic follow-up meetings.
• Maintains appropriate qualification records for various trade agreements.
• Loads conditions in SAP for import orders.
• Consults with the customs agent/freight agent as necessary to answers any questions and or inquiries from customers.
• Participates in third party compliance audits and manages the necessary corrective actions.
• Handles and oversee the domestic shipment process, including auditing of invoices and agreement compliance.
• Responses and answers various questions from customers, including regulations, required information, invoices, quotas and etc.
• Responsible to coordinate trucking schedule and makes any adjustment as needed.
• Contacts airline companies to make booking for the cargo space.
• Obtains rates for ocean & air freight, trucking and rail rates.
• Maintains and manages customer's information in accordance with TSA regulation
• Issues invoices and mails to the customers and overseas agents.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years in Food Manufacturing, Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Supply Chain, ERP (SAP), Data Analysis, Quantitative Skills. Attention to Detail, Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving.

Education details
