Position Summary
The Logistics and Service Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless execution across logistics and service administration. This position bridges planning and performance—coordinating boat transportation, managing service workflows, tracking parts and documentation, and supporting overall operational efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesTransportation & Logistics Coordination
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating transportation for boat deliveries, testing runs, and operational movements
- Verify loads are properly set up and secured prior to departure
- Match trailer VIN numbers to appropriate trucks and loads for accuracy and compliance
- Communicate load requirements, schedules, and instructions to drivers
- Meet with drivers prior to departure to confirm paperwork, load accuracy, and expectations
Load & Shop Oversight
- Perform routine walk-throughs of the shop to review outgoing loads and ensure readiness
- Proactively inspect daily scheduled loads and identify issues needing correction
- Act as a liaison between shop personnel, drivers, and management for load timing and preparation
- Support overall shop organization and operational flow
Service Administration & Coordination
- Assist in creating accurate service quotes using Epicor
- Generate and manage purchase orders for parts and materials
- Track parts from order through completion to ensure timelines are met
- Maintain job costing, service records, and documentation in Epicor and/or QuickBooks
- Support invoicing processes and ensure billing accuracy
- Coordinate with vendors to source parts efficiently
Fleet & Maintenance Support
- Monitor truck and trailer maintenance schedules and inspection needs
- Coordinate with mechanics and vendors to ensure timely maintenance completion
- Track vehicle maintenance status and communicate updates to management
- Maintain maintenance records, mileage logs, and inspection documentation
Skills & QualificationsRequired
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail, especially in verifying loads, documentation, and job costing
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and business software
Preferred
- Experience with Epicor and/or QuickBooks
- Background in logistics, transportation, or service operations
- Familiarity with marine, motorsports, or high-performance environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk through shop and yard areas regularly
- Ability to climb onto trailers for inspection purposes
- Lift or move up to 30–50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Work Environment
- Split between office, shop, and yard environments
- Frequent interaction with drivers, technicians, vendors, and operations staff
- May require early mornings, late afternoons, or occasional weekends depending on workload
Performance Expectations
- Demonstrates initiative and ownership across logistics and service operations
- Ensures accuracy in transportation planning, service documentation, and parts tracking
- Maintains strong communication between departments
- Contributes to an efficient, organized, and high-performing operation
