The Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the warehouse and distribution function. This position has primary responsibility for planning, directing, and evaluating all logistics, inventory control, shipping, and receiving operations. The Supervisor exercises independent judgment and discretion in managing departmental operations, staffing, compliance, and performance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
This role directly supervises two or more full-time employees and has authority to hire, discipline, evaluate performance, and make employment recommendations that are given particular weight.
Key Responsibilities:

Actively support and maintain SACHEM’s HSSEE and Quality Management Systems (SIMS).

Manage and direct all warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, storage, finished goods inventory control, and domestic/international shipping.

Supervise, schedule, and assign work to shipping and receiving personnel.

Hire, train, discipline, and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports; make recommendations regarding promotions, compensation adjustments, and terminations.

Develop departmental goals and performance metrics; monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions

Exercise discretion in resolving operational issues, shipment delays, inventory discrepancies for finished goods, and compliance matters.

Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations and international shipping laws; make decisions regarding carrier selection and routing.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and improve service levels.

Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain leadership.

Direct monthly physical inventory of finished goods and oversee ERP inventory accuracy controls.

Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Oversee daily shipping activities to ensure products ship according to established schedules.

Schedule domestic and international shipments and interface with carriers to meet delivery requirements.

Prepare and oversee shipping documentation (bill of lading, dock receipts, certifications, SDS, certificate of analysis, etc.).

Maintain organized warehouse layout and housekeeping standards (5S).

Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to shipping or inventory issues as assigned by Operations Manager
Requirements:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.

High School Diploma required.

Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, shipping, or transportation operations for hazardous materials.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Working knowledge of ERP/inventory systems.

Experience with domestic and international shipping regulations required.
