Description:


The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and executing domestic and international transportation activities for Schluter Systems. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment. The coordinator ensures smooth shipment execution, accurate documentation, effective communication, and reliable follow-through to support daily operations.


Transportation Coordination

  • Arrange and coordinate domestic and international shipments to/from suppliers, customers, and internal sites
  • Plan delivery routes and select appropriate transportation modes
  • Prepare and provide complete transportation documentation (BOLs, labels, commercial invoices, packing lists, SLIs, VGM, dock receipts, etc.)
  • Monitor shipments from dispatch to delivery, ensuring timely movement and resolving issues

Shipment Administration

  • Maintain pre- and post-shipment processes:
    • Track shipments and provide updates
    • Maintain proof of deliveries
    • Record shipment data accurately
    • Ensure documentation accuracy for audits and reporting
  • Issue and follow up on transportation claims, documenting all relevant details
  • Help maintain NMFC codes and freight classifications

Carrier, Vendor & Partner Coordination

  • Maintain strong working relationships with carriers, forwarders, suppliers, and brokers
  • Serve as a point of contact for shipment routing, documentation, and issue resolution
  • Assist with on-site driver safety and compliance-related tasks

Data Analytics, Reporting & KPIs

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret transportation data to support decision-making
  • Develop, maintain, and improve transportation KPIs (cost per lb, transit time, claims performance, carrier scorecards, etc.)
  • Maintain traffic and transportation management reports
  • Review, approve, and dispute transportation invoices as needed
  • Support cost analysis, trend reviews, and data-driven process improvements

General Administration & Support

  • Assist in writing SOPs, work instructions, and training materials
  • Support departmental training initiatives
  • Maintain organized filing systems and digital recordkeeping
  • Support cross-functional logistics projects and perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:


  • Strong data analytics skills — ability to interpret, analyze, and present transportation data, KPIs, trends, and cost metrics is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel: pivot tables, lookups, formulas, visualizations)
  • 1–4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and transportation/trade management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams, carriers, suppliers, and forwarders
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
