Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Planning & Coordination

Develop and maintain the Project Logistics Plan, including site layout, material flow routes, equipment zones, storage areas, and access control.

Coordinate all material deliveries to site, ensuring alignment with construction sequences and approved schedules.

Plan and implement traffic management systems, ensuring safe movement of vehicles and personnel.

Manage site access, delivery gates, loading/unloading zones, and vehicle entry/exit permits.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely deliveries and material handling requirements.

Monitor and optimize crane usage schedules, hoisting plans, and equipment allocation.

Site Control & Material Management

Manage laydown areas, warehouse zones, and temporary storage facilities.

Ensure materials are handled, stored, and protected as per specifications and manufacturer requirements.

Track material movement and report shortages, delays, or potential bottlenecks.

Coordinate waste removal, skip placement, and recycling activities in collaboration with HSE and waste management teams.

Job Description

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with site safety rules, traffic management plans, and material handling procedures.

Work closely with the HSE team to enforce safe logistics practices, including lifting operations and heavy equipment movement.

Participate in risk assessments related to logistics activities and implement control measures.

Ensure logistics subcontractors and operators are competent and certified.

Communication & Coordination

Liaise with Project Manager, Construction Manager, Procurement, HSE, and QA/QC teams to align logistics needs.

Conduct daily coordination meetings for site deliveries and material movement.

Communicate any delays or issues affecting site operations and propose corrective actions.

Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, transport companies, and regulatory authorities.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily delivery logs, vehicle movement records, and logistics activity reports.

Update and maintain the Site Logistics Plan and Traffic Management Plan.

Maintain lifting plans, equipment utilization logs, and crane scheduling.

Prepare weekly/monthly logistics reports for management.

Maintain records of permits, access passes, equipment certifications, and delivery schedules.
