Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator serves as the key link between the operations team and the drivers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of diesel products. This role is responsible for coordinating dispatch schedules, monitoring deliveries, maintaining driver records, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transport regulations.

1. Coordination & Dispatching

• Plan and assign daily delivery routes and schedules for drivers based on client orders and operational priorities.
• Communicate loading instructions, delivery details, and route information to drivers clearly and promptly.
• Ensure all required delivery documents (e.g., delivery notes, fuel slips, weighbridge tickets) are provided before dispatch.
• Track and monitor vehicle movements, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.

2. Communication & Support

• Act as the main point of contact between drivers and the operations office.
• Handle real-time communication for delivery updates, route changes, or emergency issues (e.g., delays, breakdowns).
• Support drivers with operational queries and coordinate with depots or suppliers for refuelling or loading needs.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Operations Manager in a timely manner.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of driver attendance, trips, fuel usage, and delivery performance.
• Collect and verify delivery notes, trip sheets, and expense claims from drivers after each trip.
• Update the operations system or logs with daily dispatch data and completed deliveries.
• Prepare daily or weekly reports on deliveries, fuel movements, and driver productivity.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all drivers follow company safety protocols and transport regulations.
• Verify that vehicles have valid permits, insurance, and maintenance schedules.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or violations immediately to management.
• Conduct or assist with driver briefings and safety training sessions.

5. Operational Efficiency

• Coordinate with the operations and maintenance teams to schedule vehicle servicing or repairs without disrupting deliveries.
• Identify areas for improving delivery efficiency and reducing downtime.
• Support management in planning for peak periods, emergency deliveries, and route optimization.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
