Logistics Coordinator

1. Material & Equipment Coordination

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from construction sites.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials according to project schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Verify shipping documents, purchase orders, and delivery notes for accuracy.

2. Supplier & Transport Management

• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies for delivery scheduling.
• Negotiate transportation rates and ensure cost effective logistics operations.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics service providers.

3. Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Work closely with warehouse teams to manage stock levels and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Track inventory movement and update the system regularly.
• Support in physical stock counts and reconciliation with system data.

4. Site Support & Coordination

• Liaise with site engineers and procurement teams to forecast logistics needs.
• Ensure materials are available on site when needed to avoid project delays.
• Assist in mobilization and demobilization of equipment and manpower.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain all logistics related documentation (shipping, customs, transport permits, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local transportation laws, and safety standards.
• Support customs clearance and import/export procedures when applicable.

6. Reporting

• Prepare daily and weekly logistics reports.
• Highlight any potential delays, risks, or cost overruns to management.
• Recommend process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
