Logistics Coordinator

This Position reports to the Gibby Group Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the liaison between transportation companies, processing plants, producers, and end user customers through effective and prompt communication.
  • Maintains delivery schedule records for each transportation company delivering products.
  • Works with all necessary parties to prepare and adjust delivery schedules as needed to accommodate customer needs.
  • Reviews delivery records submitted by transportation companies and processing plants daily and identifies and resolves any discrepancies between scheduled deliveries and actual deliveries.
  • Maintains records of product and usage at each location.
  • Cultivates strong relationships with all parties and maintains flexibility to work through challenges that come with last minute schedule changes, route changes, and other delivery issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Demonstrate a high level of adaptability, with the ability to smoothly transition between different roles and responsibilities as needed.
  • Communicate effectively in person, on the telephone, and in writing.
  • Knowledge of logistics, trucking, or freight dispatching.
  • Complete multiple tasks and solve problems.
  • Ability to work under high pressure situations and think clearly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other computer programs to organize and manage data.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Working Conditions:
  • Full time. Able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • On-call availability is required on weekends and evenings as needed.
