Logistics Coordinator
This Position reports to the Gibby Group Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the liaison between transportation companies, processing plants, producers, and end user customers through effective and prompt communication.
- Maintains delivery schedule records for each transportation company delivering products.
- Works with all necessary parties to prepare and adjust delivery schedules as needed to accommodate customer needs.
- Reviews delivery records submitted by transportation companies and processing plants daily and identifies and resolves any discrepancies between scheduled deliveries and actual deliveries.
- Maintains records of product and usage at each location.
- Cultivates strong relationships with all parties and maintains flexibility to work through challenges that come with last minute schedule changes, route changes, and other delivery issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Demonstrate a high level of adaptability, with the ability to smoothly transition between different roles and responsibilities as needed.
- Communicate effectively in person, on the telephone, and in writing.
- Knowledge of logistics, trucking, or freight dispatching.
- Complete multiple tasks and solve problems.
- Ability to work under high pressure situations and think clearly and effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other computer programs to organize and manage data.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Working Conditions:
- Full time. Able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- On-call availability is required on weekends and evenings as needed.
