Job Description: Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary

A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring timely delivery, proper documentation, and efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations

Arrange transportation (land, sea, or air shipments)

Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery

Prepare and manage logistics documents:

Invoices

Delivery notes

Bills of Lading

Customs documents

Communicate with:

Suppliers

Transport companies

Warehouse staff

Customers

Plan and optimize delivery routes and schedules

Resolve shipping delays, damages, or issues

Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations

Required Skills

Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes

Strong communication and coordination skills

Problem-solving and decision-making ability

Attention to detail and accuracy

Time management and multitasking

Computer skills (MS Excel, logistics/ERP systems)

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration

1–3 years of experience in logistics or shipping (preferred)

Knowledge of customs procedures is an advantage.
