Logistics Coordinator I

Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team for day-to-day operations and planning. This position will focus on load planning, driver dispatching, equipment tracking, customer support, route optimization, KPI tracking and compliance and utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and databases to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years experience in drayage operations and logistics planning, strong Microsoft Office skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Schedule: Position is M-F 8am-5pm. Weekends are on a rotating schedule requiring one weekend shift about every 2 months that will include additional compensation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years in logistics, transportation, supply chain or a related field. Experience with TMS systems, Supply Chain Management, Customer Service, Freight Planning, Load Tracking and Data Management
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of TMS systems, Track and Trace systems, database management and data auditing is a plus.
  • Communication Skills/Customer Service: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, drivers, and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and attention to data accuracy and data input.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions to ensure smooth logistics operations in a fast paced and fluid environment.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • D.O.T Regulations Compliance: Ensures all department required forms and documents such as rate cons and B.O.Ls are completed in a timely basis. Responsible for the management of driver accountability as it relates to DOT, Hours of Service and FMCSA compliance, CTPAT compliance, operations, equipment usage, company policies and the discipline of the same.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in route optimization, loading planning/creation, dispatching, supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with logistics planning, drayage operations and supply chain management principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities as they arise.
  • Customer Service and clear communication.

Roles and Responsibility:

· Supporting operations with daily driver dispatching, load planning, load tracking and customer communication.

· Updating Customer Tracking Systems with accurate load tracking information.

· Working within TMS, WMS, EDI and Equipment tracking systems with the ability to learn new systems and upkeep those systems with timely and accurate information.

· Communicating with customers on freight demands, delivery schedules, load planning and providing timely updates and customer support when needed.

· Ability to prioritize deliveries in a fast paced and changing environment

· Collaboration with Management and Safety Department to ensure D.O.T and Company processes and policies are being upheld and to support company goals.

· Responsible for monitoring and obtaining KPI and Productivity goals as established by the Dispatch Operations Manager.

· MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Minimum of one year in a dispatch or load planning position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thrives in a competitive environment.
  • Ability to learn systems quickly
  • Attention to detail and data entry accuracy

Job Type: Full-time
