About the company

HopDrive is a Richmond-based funded startup that aims to change the way the auto industry moves cars. We developed a rideshare platform that our drivers run on their phones to accept gigs to move cars for our customers. We are in full growth mode but still operate like the startup we are.

Summary

The Logistics Coordinator oversees all aspects of in-the-moment transportation of vehicles to multiple locations. This individual will also manage move requests, and Bill of Ladings, and coordinate drivers to their tasks while working closely with members of our dispatch team.

Job Responsibilities

● Coordinate transportation tasks to ensure prompt delivery of vehicles

● Respond to customer inquiries

● Ensure that the quality of our service meets the standards of the company and clients

● Develop processes for efficient and organized daily operations

● Schedule and supervise the driver’s day-to-day activities

● Train new drivers

● Inspect pick-up and delivery paperwork to ensure the client’s needs are met

● Communicate effectively with staff and dispatch personnel to ensure the market's needs are carried through and tasks are completed.

● Driver schedule preparation

● Daily report maintenance

● Recruit and retain our driver network while demonstrating a deep understanding of what it takes to achieve driver loyalty.

● Design and facilitate training to be applied in the field or classroom.

● Meet company’s compliance expectations

Job Qualifications

● Must have reliable transportation.

● 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license + 5 years driving experience.

● Must be punctual and professional and knack for customer service.

● Continuous history of safe driving.

● Must have schedule flexibility and be available during operating business hours.

● Self-starter - no hand-holding here, we need someone who embraces the freedom to figure things out with little to no direction.

● Passion for logistics - We are innovating a space that hasn't been touched in decades. We are looking for someone who can contribute ideas and geek out about logistics as much as we do!

● Problem solver- Can quickly identify problems and present relevant solutions.

● Team player - we have fun and help each other out, every day, We are looking for someone who can fit into our culture seamlessly.

● Ability to communicate with staff and follow through when new processes are established.

● Previous experience with working under pressure is desired.

● Ability to be stationary in a vehicle for adjusted periods.

● Ability to lift 60 pounds or less.

● Ability to walk the job site throughout the day and the ability to be stationary for long periods of time.

● Ability to operate a computer at a high level of proficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $58,000.00 per year
