Logistics cum Storekeeper

Overview:

Marmi Engineering Co. W.L.L. is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Logistics cum Storekeeper to manage all of the operations in our storeroom. In this position, you will play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of our stock, including ordering, receiving, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management within the construction and design industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards.
  • Ensure the efficient handling and storage of all stock.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Coordinate logistics operations, including material procurement, material planning, and control, to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage logistics tasks for the construction projects, coordinating with suppliers and transport companies.

Order Processing:

  • Process orders and documentation, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoices.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and manage inventory levels to meet project demands.

Storekeeping:

  • Oversee the reception and inspection of delivered items, manage storage conditions, and organize storeroom operations.
  • Implement and monitor preventive measures to safeguard stock.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Work closely with procurement and project management teams to identify requirements and ensure the timely supply of materials.
  • Develop and maintain good supplier relationships.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations in all storage and logistics operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or relevant field.
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar logistics role, preferably in the construction or design industry.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and logistics best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy items and work in various conditions.
