Logistics Manager

Company: Shyam Chemicals is a leading manufacturer of high-quality copper chemicals, serving diverse industries in India and globally.

Job Summary:The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all import and export shipments. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods across borders. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, and strong negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage all shipping activities, from securing bookings with carriers to final delivery. Prepare and process all required documentation, including Bills of Lading, shipping instructions, and commercial invoices.

· Solicit and negotiate freight quotes from various shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to ensure the most cost-effective rates and best service.

· Coordinate with customs house agents (CHAs) to ensure timely customs clearance for all shipments. Manage all import/export regulations, duties, and government schemes to ensure full compliance.

· Actively track and monitor all shipments to prevent demurrage, detention, and other port charges. Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for optimization.

· Maintain a complete and organized record of all shipping documents, invoices, and customs-related paperwork for audit purposes.

· Act as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, carriers, CHAs, and internal teams (sales, finance, and production) to ensure smooth communication and resolve any issues.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.

· A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in a logistics role, specifically managing import and export for a manufacturing company. Experience with chemical or hazardous goods is a significant advantage.

· In-depth knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), shipping documents, and customs procedures. Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data tracking and analysis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
