Key responsibilities:
Freight Management:

Ensure vehicle availability as per plan and monitor inbound & outbound freight movements across India.

Plan and monitor export shipments (FCL, LCL, Air, Courier).
-
Coordinate with Transporters, CHA, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely clearance and dispatch.
-
Ensure compliance with all DGFT, Customs, E-way bill, and port-related regulations and manage documentations for dispatch.
-
Optimize routes, loads, and utilization to reduce costs.
-
Track shipments, clearances, and proactively resolve delays or issues.
-
Track and improve freight KPIs (OTIF, transit time, cost per unit).
Vendor Management:
-
Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with domestic transporters, CHA, and freight forwarders.
-
Evaluate and monitor vendor performance and compliance.
-
Ensure timely payments, documentation, and resolution of disputes.
Cost & Performance Management:
-
Track domestic & Export freight costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.

Prepare and monitor freight budgets.
-
Drive initiatives for container consolidation and route optimization to reduce costs.
Process Improvement:

Drive initiatives to improve TAT and reduce dwell times in domestic and export freight.
-
Implement tracking systems and dashboards for real-time monitoring.

Identify opportunities for digitization and automation in freight and Export operations.
