LOGISTICS MANAGER

Job description

Manage day-to-day receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.

Inventory management

Prepare materials for dispatch as per the job order or client requirement.

Transport coordination, Drivers Management for timely loading and delivery.

Ensure proper packaging, labelling, and documentation

Ensure equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, EOT cranes, etc., are used properly and Gangway free access maintained.

Maintain inward/outward registers, gate passes, GRNs, delivery challans,

Work closely with Purchase, Stores, and Production teams.

Coordinate with field engineers or site teams for material requirements.

Communicate delays, issues, or discrepancies to management

Material handling & safety practices, Proper Use of PPE

Commitment to timely and accurate material delivery to Customer

Checking/ Validating DC & Invoices, and willing to take up any other transport related assignments time-to-time

Skills

Strong understanding of warehouse procedures.

Basic computer skills required

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to handle physical inventory movement if required.

Reconcile physical stock with system records and resolve discrepancies, if any.

Problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

Work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Flexible to work extended hours as and when required.

Knowledge of safety in material handling (loading and unloading )

Drive for cost-effective logistics & SCM

Commitment to timely and accurate material handling

Education : Any Degree UG/PG

Experience: 10- 15 yrs.

Location: Chennai - Tamil Nadu.

Salary : Based on candidates potential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
