Logistics Manager

Job Summary

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished roofing sheets. The role ensures timely delivery to customers, optimal inventory levels, cost-effective transportation, and smooth logistics operations across the plant and branches.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods
• Coordinate with production, sales, and stores departments for dispatch planning and delivery schedules
• Ensure timely delivery of roofing sheets to distributors, dealers, and project sites
• Manage transportation vendors, negotiate rates, and optimize logistics costs
• Monitor vehicle scheduling, route planning, and load optimization
• Oversee warehouse operations, including storage, stacking, and loading activities
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper documentation (GRN, DC, invoice, e-way bills, LR, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements related to transportation and logistics
• Handle logistics-related customer queries and resolve delivery issues or delays
• Implement safety standards and ensure proper handling of materials
• Track logistics KPIs and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
• 5 +years of logistics experience, preferably in manufacturing/steel/roofing industry
• Strong knowledge of transportation management and warehouse operations
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/logistics software
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery timelines

Work Conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
