The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village. The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway.

Job Summary:

Bechtel Global Logistics (BGL) is seeking a Project Logistics Manager based in the project home office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to support the above project. The Logistics Manager will supervise logistics personnel and manage the logistics responsibilities on the project, prepare bid proposals, manage contracts, budgets, freight estimates and produce project deliverable documentation, including Project Logistics Execution Plans and Logistics Procedures for all modes of transportation.

This is a full time position with possible work from home options as per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in person attendance per week at the assigned office or project.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage a moderate sized logistics team for a large project.
• Ensure project proposal work is supported with appropriate logistics staff and approve all logistics proposal deliverables.
• Develop and review logistics staffing plans, budgets, execution plans and procedures.
• Monitor performance of logistics service providers to ensure project support and accurate completion of milestone and performance reports.
• Acquire logistics services in accordance with Bechtel Supply Chain Governance and negotiate agreements to maximize commercial and technical interests.
• Develop logistics reports, metrics, and studies for management review and plan training of project logistics personnel.
• Perform project logistics performance reviews to ensure execution according to plan and within budget.
• Implement applicable logistics process improvement initiatives and safety requirements in all activities.
• Collaborate with project management to review logistics strategies considering cost, risk, and schedule assessments.
• Provide cost, transportability, service, and terms analysis for proposals and material purchases.
• Represent logistics at supplier/contractor kickoff meetings and present commercial bid tabs, authorizations, and contract documents for approval.
• Oversee logistics service provider performance and ensure contractual compliance.
• Handle domestic and international shipment responsibilities, ensuring safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods.
• Ensure shipment tracking data is entered into TMS and other systems for visibility.
• Process and audit logistics service provider invoices per project procedures.
• Identify transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment decisions.
• Resolve logistics service provider claims and lead logistics studies including site visits.
• Partner with senior and executive management on cross functional matters and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking and adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) with 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
• Home, field, and deployed project experience preferred.
• Transport Assurance proficiency preferred.
• Experience with medium to large scale projects highly regarded.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to set objectives and determine resource use to meet schedules and goals.
• Experience resolving complex issues creatively and effectively within company policy.
• Guidance to and collaboration with subordinates within established policies.
• Recommendation of policy changes and establishment of related procedures.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian import and export formalities and processes.
• Experience with multimodal transport modes - airfreight, sea freight, containerized, LCL, breakbulk, and domestic transportation, including oversize/over mass.
• Knowledge of marine conveyance chartering.
• Understanding of domestic and international trade and delivery terms.
• Knowledge of industry packing, making, and shipping requirements.
• Practical understanding of Incoterms (2020).
• Commercial and contractual acumen.
