1. Job Purpose
To manage and streamline all logistics, warehouse, and transportation operations for Falcon Toolings, ensuring timely material availability, accurate inventory, on-time customer delivery, and cost-effective operations.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Inbound Stock Management from Production:
- Plan and coordinate receipt of Finished goods and bought-out items.
- Ensure GRN process accuracy and timely updating in ERP Systems.
- Monitor delivery performance and escalate delays.
- Coordinate with Planning, Production and Quality teams to meet delivery commitments
B. Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee proper storage, stacking, FIFO, and material identification.
- Conduct monthly stock verification with Stores team.
- Maintain accuracy between physical stock and ERP stock.
- Implement 5S, safety, and material handling best practices.
C. Outbound Logistics & Dispatch
- Plan daily dispatches as per production and customer schedules.
- Ensure packing quality, documentation, and on-time dispatch.
D. Transportation & Freight Management
- Allocate vehicles, plan routes, and track delivery status.
- Handle transport vendors, negotiate freight rates, and monitor SLA adherence.
- Minimize freight cost through optimization and vendor comparison.
E. Documentation & Statutory Compliance
- Oversee invoices, delivery challans, packing lists, e-way bills, and LR creation.
- Ensure 100% compliance with GST, statutory norms, and company policy.
- Maintain records for audit purposes.
F. Customer Coordination
- Coordinate with OEMs, distributors, and customers on dispatch schedules.
- Manage delivery issues such as shortages, damages, and returns.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through timely communication.
G. Team Leadership
- Supervise logistics, storekeepers, and dispatch staff.
- Train team members on procedures, safety, and documentation.
- Ensure discipline, responsibility, and productivity in the department.
H. MIS & Reporting
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly logistics & dispatch reports.
- Present logistics KPIs – OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory accuracy, dispatch cycle time, freight cost, etc.
- Suggest continuous improvements to reduce lead time and cost.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Any Degree / Diploma (Preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain or Mechanical).
- 5–15 years’ experience in logistics/warehouse operations (manufacturing background preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Custom ERP).
- Strong knowledge of transportation, packing standards, and statutory documentation.
- Age : 35 to 40 Years
4. Key Skills Required
- Strong leadership and team-handling ability.
- Ability to write and speak English / Tamil – Mandatory
- Working Knowledge of Hindi – will be added advantage
- Good communication & coordination skills.
- Vendor negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of GST/e-way bills and dispatch documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
