About the Company

Looking for a hands-on Logistics Manager to step into a key role supporting a fast-paced structural steel/construction operation. This is a high-impact position overseeing daily transportation, dispatching, and freight coordination across multiple active job sites.

About the Role

You’ll manage routing, carrier relationships, and delivery operations while ensuring materials move efficiently from fabrication shops to project sites. You’ll also lead a dispatcher and play a critical role in optimizing logistics processes, controlling costs, and maintaining strong communication with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate 2–5 daily truck shipments (flatbeds, construction materials)
• Manage carrier relationships and negotiate rates
• Plan and optimize transportation routes for efficiency and cost savings
• Ensure DOT compliance and safety standards
• Oversee documentation (bills of lading, reporting, etc.)
• Troubleshoot delivery issues and support operations across 30–40 active jobs

Qualifications

• 3+ years in logistics, supply chain, or transportation planning
• Experience with dispatching, freight coordination, or trucking operations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working onsite in a fast-moving environment
• Construction or steel industry experience is a plus
