We are growing and are looking for a talented Transportation Manager to join our team in Charlotte!
The purpose of this position is to oversee textile collections for an assigned market. By leading a team of drivers, the Transportation Manager will maximize efficiency and growth of market collections while ensuring safety.
Qualified Transportation Manager candidates will have 5 years of transportation experience, including at least 2 years of management experience.
Responsibilities And Duties

Own movement of donation boxes in assigned areas - replacement, placement, removals.

Assist in identifying field growth opportunities for donation stations and bins.

Oversight of fleet maintenance in addition to maintenance of donation boxes and trailers throughout the market.

Partner with Store Managers to ensure inventory needs are met.

Conduct routine truck inspections to meet DOT requirements.

Coordinate collection growth activities with Collections Manager.

Assist with interviews for Drivers and Donation Attendants.

Conduct quarterly Driver audit surveillance, Donation Attendant audits, and ride-alongs.

Use TMS and CRM regularly for gathering information and documenting updates.

Rerouting for efficiency as needed, based on market conditions.

Assist with launching drivers and receiving at stores.
Qualifications

Management experience in the transportation industry.

At least 25 years of age

Valid driver’s license.

Willing to submit to background check, drug screen and DOT physical.

Must be able lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Regular bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling and climbing is required.

High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.

High level of diplomacy and interpersonal skills.

Ability to perform physically demanding work in heat, cold and wet conditions.
