Job Summary

Coordinates the daily collection, transportation, and routing of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) collection vehicles to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective clearing of the Secondary Collection Points (SCPs).

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and schedule daily waste collection routes for residential & commercial SCPs

· Coordinate and dispatch collection crews and vehicles.

· Monitor collection operations for efficiency, service coverage, and adherence to schedules.

· Manage logistics for transporting waste to the plant on time.

· Optimize routing to reduce fuel consumption, overtime, and vehicle wear.

· Respond to and resolve service requests, missed pickups, and customer complaints.

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (environmental, safety, DOT).

· Track and report key operational data (tons collected, route completion, costs).

· Assist in managing contracts with haulers or subcontractors (if applicable).

· Support fleet maintenance coordination and inventory of supplies.

· Ensure timely billing and collection of tipping fee.

· Preparation of Annual budget and formalise the collection plan.

· Analyze logistics data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

· Lead and develop the C&T team.

Requirements

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Environmental Science, or Public Administration preferred.

· 4+ years of experience in waste management, logistics, transportation, or public works operations.

· Strong knowledge of routing software and fleet management principles.

· Ability to read maps, understand GPS systems, and optimize logistical plans.

· Excellent communication skills for interacting with crews, supervisors, and the public.

· Basic understanding of environmental regulations and workplace safety (OSHA) standards.

· Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

· Certification in Environment Management or related field.

· Experience operating with government departments.

· Proficiency in waste management software of repute.
