Job Summary:
The Logistics Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials efficiently. This role ensures timely delivery, cost-effective operations, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the transportation and distribution of goods.
- Plan and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and transportation costs.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse operations, including storage and stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
- Prepare reports on logistics performance and suggest improvements.
- Handle customs documentation and import/export procedures when necessary.
- Support procurement and supply chain teams with logistics-related tasks.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
- Knowledge of logistics software, warehouse management systems, and MS Office.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations is a plus.
