Job Title: Logistics & Operations Manager

Location: Nigeria (Overseeing Operations for the United States)

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the complete logistics and operations workflow — from sourcing lubricants and additives to ensuring on-time delivery to the US factory.

Manage coordination with suppliers and factories across multiple countries to ensure timely production and dispatch.

Arrange and monitor international shipping (by sea), ensuring compliance with all export and import documentation and requirements.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents to ensure smooth movement of goods from origin to destination.

Manage import clearance in the United States and oversee the dispatch of goods by road from the port to the factory.

Develop and maintain efficient systems for order tracking, shipping schedules, and documentation control.

Ensure accurate testing, quality checks, and compliance with technical specifications before shipment.

Build and maintain strong communication and coordination between multiple internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, freight partners, testing agencies, and the US factory).

Anticipate potential bottlenecks and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Prepare regular reports on shipment status, costs, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in the Lubricant or Additive industry, working with a factory, trading company, or freight forwarder.

Solid understanding of products and processes used in the lubricant/additive sector.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in logistics, exports, and international shipping, including end-to-end coordination, documentation, and customs procedures.

Proven experience managing multiple factories, freight forwarders, and shipping partners across different countries.

Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage operations under tight deadlines.
