Position Overview:

Americana Worldwide is immediately hiring an in-person Logistics Operations Representative to join our team in Glencoe, IL. (Metra-accessible location).

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Operations Representative to coordinate shipments, communicate with clients, and ensure smooth, on-time trade show logistics. Logistics experience required; trade show experience a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates on shipments with clear, professional communication.

• Accurately enter and manage orders with shipment details and deadlines, while coordinating team members to ensure precise, on-time execution of trade show deliveries and setups.

• Posting loads on DAT, booking and negotiating with carriers, and vetting carriers to ensure safety, compliance, and competitive pricing.

• Coordinate and monitor shipments, providing real-time updates to clients and proactively resolving any delays or delivery issues.

• Identify and resolve shipment issues such as delays, damage, or venue constraints, escalating complex problems to management with clear documentation and recommended solutions.

• Assist with billing by verifying final charges, resolving discrepancies, and verify supporting documentation.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating client needs, resolving issues, and providing proactive, tailored solutions to build strong, long-term client relationships throughout the logistics process.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in logistics as a carrier sales, operations, or customer representative position.
• Trade show experience is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Familiarity with logistics and freight operations, particularly in the context of trade show or event logistics.
