Logistics Project Manager (Retail)

The Logistics Project Manager will lead this transformation end-to-end, overseeing the setup, coordination, and implementation of the new distribution center. This is a hands-on, project- driven role requiring strong operational supply chain experience and the ability to work closely with both global and local stakeholders.

Our client, an international retail company, is launching a strategic project to establish a new local distribution center in Turkey.

Description

• Lead the full implementation of the new distribution center, from initial planning to go-live.
• Develop and manage the project timeline, milestones, and deliverables.
• Work closely with global and local teams to ensure alignment across operations, supply chain, and IT.
• Support ERP-related processes and integrations; ensure operational readiness within the new system.
• Coordinate the transition from direct-to-store deliveries to the new distribution model.
• Conduct on-site follow-up during the physicall setup, testing phases, and operational rollout.
• Identify and manage project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in supply chain operations, preferably within retail, FMCG, or pharmaceuticals.
• Prior involvement in establishing a warehouse or distribution center from scratch is essential.
• Experience working in international or global organizations.
• Solid understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Comfortable working independently in a hands-on, fast-moving project environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
