Role Summary

Ocean Gate Line is seeking a highly motivated Logistics Sales Executive with strong experience in pricing, shipping, and freight forwarding. This role focuses on generating new business, preparing accurate rate quotations, and supporting clients with end‑to‑end logistics solutions across air, sea, and land freight.

The ideal candidate must have hands‑on knowledge of carrier pricing, market rate fluctuations, UAE–Iraq shipping flows, and fulfillment services.

Key Responsibilities1. Pricing & Rate Management

  • Prepare competitive and accurate quotations for air freight, sea freight (FCL/LCL), land transport, and cross-border trucking.
  • Negotiate buy rates with shipping lines, airlines, transport companies, and agents.
  • Maintain updated tariff sheets, market rates, surcharge lists, and pricing records.
  • Ensure all proposals meet Ocean Gate’s profitability targets.

2. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and onboard new clients across wholesale, retail, B2B, e-commerce, and industrial sectors.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls, client visits, and virtual meetings to present Ocean Gate’s logistics solutions.
  • Convert inquiries into confirmed shipments, meeting monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Support business acquisition for UAE–Iraq import/export lanes and GCC logistics flows.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain long-term relationships with new and existing accounts.
  • Provide customers with timely updates on booking, shipping schedules, deliveries, and rate changes.
  • Resolve escalations with support from operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

4. Operational Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal operations, documentation, and customs clearance teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Verify client requirements, HS codes, commodity details, and compliance documents.
  • Review shipment profitability and support operations with accurate commercial documentation.

5. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor rates, capacity availability, and market pricing trends.
  • Provide weekly activity and sales reports to management.
  • Recommend adjustments to pricing strategy based on real‑time rate movements and customer feedback.

Qualifications & Skills \Experience & Knowledge

  • 1–3 years experience with a freight forwarding or logistics company.
  • Strong knowledge of air/sea/land freight processes, Incoterms, customs procedures, and cross-border logistics.
  • Experience preparing quotations and negotiating with carriers/vendors.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in preparing quotes using Excel and CRM tools specifically ODOO.
  • Understanding of HS codes, documentation requirements, and UAE–Iraq shipment regulations.
  • Ability to calculate margins, profitability, and rate comparisons accurately.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail — especially in pricing accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inquiries simultaneously.

Job Type:

Full-Time (On-site – Sharjah)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
