The Logistics Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding customer accounts, and providing transportation solutions across trucking, air, and/or ocean freight services. This role focuses on identifying shippers’ needs, offering competitive quotes, and coordinating with operations to ensure high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, identify, and acquire new shipping customers through cold calls, emails, referrals, and industry networking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to increase load volume and account retention.
  • Prepare and present competitive freight quotes for FTL, LTL, drayage, and air cargo shipments.
  • Understand customer freight needs, including transit time, equipment requirements, service levels, and budget expectations.
  • Work closely with dispatch, operations, and carrier procurement teams to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • Track and monitor shipments; proactively communicate status updates to customers.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing, and activity reports in CRM or TMS systems.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Stay updated on market rates, capacity trends, and industry regulations.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage sales experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of trucking operations (FTL, LTL, drayage, air freight, appointment systems, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze rate trends and build profitable pricing strategies.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, TMS platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
