Summary
The Logistics Supervisor coordinates and executes daily outbound shipment operations and maintains oversight of inventory accuracy and flow. This position focuses on planning, scheduling, and monitoring shipments with carrier(s) and works closely with internal project teams to manage customer expectations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in end-to-end outbound logistics processes.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Create, plan, schedule, and coordinate outbound shipments using the company’s ERP system to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries.

Collaborate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to align shipping activities with order fulfillment goals.

Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to secure capacity, confirm pickup times, and resolve transportation issues.

Maintain accurate shipping records, freight invoices, and carrier performance metrics in the ERP system.

Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues impacting shipment planning or execution.

Develops and maintains standardized work procedures, provides training, and ensures all shipping operations always remain audit ready.

Competencies and Skills
- Proficient in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or similar), FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and other carrier management platforms.

Proficient in batch processing domestic and international shipments via FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip.

Advanced proficiency in using Excel for data analysis, logistics planning, reporting, and performance tracking (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Proven supervisory and leadership experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.

Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations

Education/Certification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics or related field
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or transportation operations

Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a logistics or distribution environment.

Proven track record of managing daily shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities.

Experience managing international import and export shipments, including customs documentation is a plus.

Extensive experience with both NMFC, non NMFC LTL, FTL, Freight Forwarders, and air freight carriers

Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), to manage inventory, track orders, and optimize logistics workflows.

Strong project management, continuous improvement, and team building experience

Able to operate motorized vehicles (fork trucks, cherry pickers, easy-go carts etc.)
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
