Logistics Supervisor

Midgard-SG is looking for a Senior Executive – Supply Chain Management who will be responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring uninterrupted availability of materials, equipment and services required for business continuity and operational excellence. The role requires strategic oversight of procurement, logistics, inventory management, contract administration, vendor management and supply planning while ensuring compliance with commercial, operational and HSE standards.

The candidate is expected to bring strong industry knowledge, commercial acumen and leadership capabilities to support operational efficiency, cost optimization and supply risk mitigation in complex industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all logistics and transportation activities comply with company HSE policies, procedures, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Implement safe journey management practices for all vehicles operating in field locations.
  • Conduct transport safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure drivers and transport contractors comply with defensive driving and road safety requirements.
  • Manage transport scheduling based on operational priorities.
  • Coordinate movement of specialized equipment (e.g. Water bowsers, Fuel bowsers, Dumpers, Flatbed trailers, Heavy transport vehicles and Support vehicles etc.)
  • Implement and monitor Journey Management Plans (JMP) for all field transport operations.
  • Track vehicle movements from departure until formal journey closure.
  • Maintain daily communication with transport contractors and outsourced fleet providers.
  • Resolve operational issues related to vehicle availability, delays, or contractor non-compliance.
  • Conduct periodic contractor performance reviews.
  • Verify and maintain transport documentation.
  • Ensure documentation validity before vehicle deployment.
  • Maintain transport compliance database and renewal schedules.
  • Ensure operational readiness of outsourced and owned vehicles.
  • Review contractor invoices against actual deployed services.
  • Track fuel usage, mileage, trip costs, and vehicle utilization.
  • Support tendering, contractor evaluation, and transport contract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with transport service agreements and contractual KPIs.
  • Manage logistics operations in challenging operating environments across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant logistics or transport operations experience.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Proven experience managing logistics operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Islamabad: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
