We are looking for a Logistics System Engineer / SAP EWM Consultant to support the implementation, integration, commissioning, and continuous improvement of logistics system solutions within an automotive manufacturing environment.

The role will focus mainly on SAP EWM, logistics system integration, material flow processes, line feeding, warehouse automation, and in-plant logistics operations across key manufacturing areas such as Press, Body, Paint, and General Assembly.

Candidates with car manufacturing / automotive plant experience will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the implementation of logistics system solutions, mainly SAP EWM, from the business side.

Ensure logistics system solutions are aligned with material handling processes, production requirements, warehouse operations, and line feeding needs.

Work closely with IT teams, logistics vendors, and internal stakeholders to define system requirements and validate solution designs.

Support SAP EWM implementation activities, including requirement analysis, process confirmation, solution design review, development follow-up, go-live support, and continuous improvement.

Coordinate system integration between SAP EWM and related platforms such as MES, PTL, AMR, ASRS, CTU, call buttons, visualization systems, and other logistics automation tools.

Participate in end-to-end process testing, UAT preparation, issue resolution, and system buy-off.

Support logistics system installation, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness.

Identify potential system risks or failure modes and propose countermeasures to reduce disruption and avoid production line stoppages.

Prepare project status updates, reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders and management.

Ensure proper documentation, process compliance, and adherence to internal procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics systems, SAP EWM, system implementation, or automotive manufacturing logistics.

Experience in a large automotive manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of SAP EWM / SAP Extended Warehouse Management.
  • Experience in logistics system implementation, integration, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support.
  • Good understanding of logistics system integrations, network communication, MES, warehouse automation, and in-plant logistics systems.
  • Knowledge of material handling processes, packaging, line feeding, production logistics, and automotive manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with IT teams, logistics vendors, and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Strong project coordination, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Profile
  • Automotive / car manufacturing background.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP EWM implementation in a production plant environment.
  • Experience supporting logistics systems across Press Shop, Body Shop, Paint Shop, or General Assembly.
